Issue

Mobile inventory handhelds are not charged, or on the internet.

User Impact

Licensing of the New West Mobile Suite software (loaded on the handhelds) is dependant upon connecting to the internet to verify the licensing.  If the handheld does not connect to the internet a minimum of once per 2 week period, the licensing will go into demo mode and may need to be reset by Factor One.  This will result in a service charge.

Devices affected:  MC50, MC70, HP, Socket running New West Mobile Suite, Mobile Manager or Mobile POS.

Resolution

Please ensure that your devices are charged and/or docked when not in use, so that they can connect to the internet.  Docking station should be plugged into the host system (i.e. the system it was configured on and syncs with) so that the device has the opportunity to get out to the internet through the host system.

If you do not have wireless devices that work with RMS on your network, this bulletin may not apply to you.
